The Order #8 - Page 8 WIP

ALPHA Agent of F.R.E.E.D.O.M.

Aaah... so many projects, so little time.

Who is ALPHA? I don't know yet.

What does F.R.E.E.D.O.M. stands for? I got nothing. It just sounds retro-cool!

I'm just compelled to do this. This is a nice little project on the side when I want to loosen up, just be creative and unleash my inner Kirby.

I have a sort of a plot for this. I'll just draw the pages and just worry about the dialogues afterwards. Just pure drawing fun, the Kirby Way.

Making a Cover Part 6

In this installment I colored Star Strong.

Didn't make it to her hair though.

Z-Escrima Crossover: Page 3 WIP

I easily get tired and put the pencil down. I'm very happy with the results so far.

I was looking at some old John Byrne Iron Fist while working on this for inspiration.

That's it for me today.

And then I proceed to coloring each object on the page.

Applying the color guides. Doing the airbrushing, shadows and highlights.

If theres a need for special effects like flares, blurs or color holds. Those will be added on the final process.

See how Gaviota pops out from the rest of his 2D friends. I love doing that :D

Making a Cover Part 4

Next comes the flatting stage. The most hated part of the process.

It's a necessary evil. Let's leave it at that.

Making a Cover Part 3

On this step I retouch the page in Photoshop.

Smoothen some lines, fill in the blacks, correct some mistakes and just give it an overall clean finish.

The Pride: Baron Saturday

This would be the last teaser for our new book "The Pride".

Everything is finally coming together.

Tired but happy this is finally coming out.

Making a Cover Part 2

I told you I draw in a non-liner way. Pencil an object then proceed to inking it.

On part 1 I finished pencilling and inking Star Strong then stopped. I've felt I used up my creative energies and was done.

And now, using the same method I added the other characters one by one, pencilling and inking one at a time.

I think I have all sorts of energy cause I finished them all lol

On part 3, I'll erase the pencils and scan the image. Do some retouches and fill in the blacks in Photoshop, then post here finished inked product.

'Til then!

Making a Cover Part 1

I make covers, pinups, pages and just about everything else this way. One element at a time.

I pencil the object and then proceed to finishing it.

I know it's a bad habit that I need drop somewhere down the road, but for now I'll slack lol.
